After being diagnosed with an ulcer I was prescribed Omeprazole and almost straight away I had relief from pain. After four weeks I had a further endoscopy and was told the ulcer had cleared. I now take Omperazole as a precaution to further ulcers.

I suffered with heartburn for many years and had to seek help in the end as it was making life very difficult. I had an endoscopy which revealed a hiatus hernia and was prescribed Losec which changed my life completely. I cannot live without this medicine now and I would say people should not just put up with daily heartburn as something can be done.

After many years of suffering with indigestion, probably caused in some amounts from the other drugs I take, since being prescribed Omeprezalone it has helped my digestive problems immensely.

Omeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
